Landfill to natural gas production facility - Lansing, Michigan

J. Ranck Electric, Inc. was contracted for the complete electrical installation for a new landfill gas to natural gas production facility. The project consisted of the complete plant electrical system and the required power distribution, including all appurtenances for the 46kV substation to power the new renewable natural gas plant. Work included all junction boxes, back boxes, hand holes, wiring devices, switches, receptacles, telecommunications wiring, final power, controls, communications terminations, and complete installation of the following equipment:

• 5kV Switchgear SG-1

• 5kV Softstarters SS-1, SS-2, and SS-3

• Transformers T-2, T-3, T-4, and T-5

• 480V Switchboard SWBD-1

• 480V Motor Control Center MCC-1

• 480V Variable Frequency Drives VFD-1, VFD-2

• 480V Softstarters SS-3, SS-4

• Distribution & Branch Circuit Panelboards PP-1, PP-2, LP-1, RP-1, RP-2, URP-1, DCP-1

• Relay Control Panels LCP-1, LCP-2

• Uninterrupted Power Supply System UPS-1

• Provide all devices, wiring, conduit, devices and appurtenances for the safety systems (Gas and Refrigerant monitoring, Emergency Power Off system, and Annunciation systems)

• Provide calibration of sensors and all testing and commissioning
