MISolar Portfolio Solar Farms - Michigan
J. Ranck Electric (JRE) was contracted by Geronimo Energy, a National Grid Company, for the engineering, procurement, and construction of two ground-mounted solar arrays in Michigan. In total, The MiSolar Portfolio consists of 40 MW AC (60 MW DC) of solar power being generated at the two farms located in Clinton and Monroe Counties in central and southern Michigan. The power purchase agreement, being built by Geronimo Energy, will generate power and be locally used by Consumers Energy.
JRE’s contract included the installation of AC and DC electrical work including the installation of inverters, transformers/AC combiners, equipment pads and racks, and collection systems. JRE also installed the raceways and cabling for the NLS communication system for the array. Each site also had a 46 kV substation.
