The numbers are in… The total raised at the third annual J. Ranck Electric FORE THE KIDS charity golf scramble has surpassed each previous year.  This year’s the proceeds, totaling over $18,500, will benefit Hopewell Ranch in Weidman, Michigan.

For the last ten years, HopeWell Ranch has offered a free, therapeutic horsemanship program for children who are physically, mentally, or emotionally challenged during the warmer months. This year however, community members, volunteers, and local businesses, including J. Ranck Electric, are working together to construct the Legacy Arena, an indoor horse arena which will allow the ranch to continue serving children year-round.

“J. Ranck Electric is helping us complete the Legacy Arena,” says Hopewell Ranch founder Jodi Suber, “We’re totally overwhelmed by all the kindness and generosity, plus the amount of hard work that has gone into the golf outing and the arena.”

In addition to the standard 18 holes, FORE THE KIDS 2015  had a putting contest, raffles, a basketball game called Sink the Sunshine, and hole-in-one contests, among other other lighthearted games. Golfers even hit a few balls toward the water on purpose in attempts to hit a larger-than-life floating duck. Through all the fun and games, the common goal of coming together to support HopeWell Ranch remained.
