Training focus on Safety in 2017

The first quarter of 2017 is a time for training at J. Ranck Electric. In January, employees gathered at the company’s Mt. Pleasant location for training on rigging, excavation, and crane hand signals. There are still training sessions on excavating and traffic control on the schedule throughout the Spring. The rigging, excavation, and traffic control training sessions are funded by a Skilled Trades Training Fund grant that J. Ranck Electric has received in the amount of $36,962 from the State of Michigan Talent Investment Agency. Through the Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works! Office, JRE applied for and was granted the funds to train up to 127 employees between January 9 and March 20, 2017.

ENR 2016 List of Specialty Contractors

JRE made the Top 600 Specialty Contractors list once again in 2016 with a #277 ranking, up from #306 in 2015. The Specialty Contractors list ranks the top asbestos abatement, concrete, demolition, electrical, glazing, mechanical, masonry, painting, roofing, sheet metal, steel erection, utility, wall/ceiling, excavation, and other firms in the nation in order by annual revenue figures.

J. Ranck Electric is listed #57 on Solar Power World’s 2016 Top 500 Solar Contractors list, climbing from last year’s #61 ranking.

The 2016 Top 500 Solar Contractors list ranks companies in North America according to their influence in the industry in 2015, which is determined by the number of megawatts (MW) a company installed in 2015. When comparing total megawatts installed over time, JRE is in the top 100 contractors in North America with a total of over 50 MW installed from 2009 to 2015. Students invited to learn about careers in skilled trades

J. Ranck Electric, Inc. (JRE) invites students, grades 7-12, and their parents to its company headquarters, located off Broomfield Road at 1993 Gover Parkway, Mt. Pleasant, for JRE’s second annual Skilled Trades Night. “We are committed to sharing our enthusiasm about the trades, because a solid skilled workforce will make our region, and our state, a great place to live and work for years to come,” J. The Solar Power World 2015 Top 500 Solar Contractors list ranks J. Ranck Electric at #61 overall in 2014 and #1 in Michigan for 2014. The Top 500 Solar Contractors list ranks companies according to their influence in the industry in 2014, which is determined by the number of megawatts (MW) a company installed in 2014.

J. Ranck Electric to host Skilled Trades Night for area students

Mt. Pleasant, Mich., February 26, 2015 – J. Ranck Electric, Inc. (JRE) invites all 7th – 12th grade students, and their parents to it’s company’s headquarters, located off Broomfield Road at 1993 Gover Parkway, Mt. Pleasant for JRE’s first-ever Skilled Trades Night. On Wednesday, March 18, 2015 students will have the opportunity to learn, first- hand about the many career opportunities that skilled trades offers.

J. Ranck Electric Inc. hosting a community open house and solar tours October 9

Mt. Pleasant, Mich. — J. Ranck Electric, Inc. (JRE) invites the community to an open house showcasing the new 148kW ground mount solar array system at the company’s headquarters, located off Broomfield Road at 1993 Gover Parkway, Mt. Pleasant. Construction is complete and the generating system is connected to the power grid and producing electricity. Anyone interested in learning more about capturing the sun’s energy and how arrays are built is encouraged to drop in from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. on October 9.

Earth Week 2014 Solar Workshops held for university and high school students
