New Parallel Taxiway - Freeland, Michigan
In May 2020, J. Ranck Electric was contracted by LA Construction to install lighting, signage, and a 5kV circuit for a new taxiway that added a second connection into and out of the airline terminal ramp to improve airport operations and traffic efficiency. The installation included nearly 9,000′ of 2″ conduit under the paved taxiway shoulder, 855′ of concrete encased duct bank, and 10,878′ of cable. JRE maintained the airport’s active lighting systems through construction and managed the cutover of the new system.
