Wastewater Treatment Plant - St. Johns, Michigan
J. Ranck Electric was contracted for the installation of electrical/control/fire alarm/heat trace equipment and associated wiring, terminations, and hook ups for the new Glanbia Nutritional cheese processing facility’s UASB treatment plant that handles the water left over from processing milk into cheese and whey. JRE built the complete electrical system on the load side of the transformer, including the complete motor control center, and the Main 3000A, 480/277V, 3PH, 4W board switchboard (MSB) that fed 3-MCC’s & 3-Power Panels. The instrumentation work consisted of controls for the aerobic, post-aeration, anaerobic, solids processing, and chemical systems. When complete, the plant is projected to process eight million pounds of milk per day and produce 300 million pounds of cheese a year.

73,000’ of cable, feeder, lighting, receptacle and control wiring
All electrical and controls for the aeration tank, aeration mixer tanks, agitator and mixer tanks, and gas burner
Installation of controls including flow meter temperature and level transmitters to the PLC
All motor control wiring to the motor control center and the PLC
