ODOT ITS CCTV Expansion

District 2 — Toledo, OH

In 2012, J. Ranck Electric (JRE) was contracted to install a new Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) System to add to the The State of Ohio Department of Transportation Intelligent Transportation System in District 2. The project centered around I-75 and I-475 in and around the city of Toledo and surrounding cities of Sylvania, Oregon, Northwood, Rossford, Perrysburg, Maumee, as far south as Bowling Green. The project expanded the CCTV camera system and vehicle detection units along I-74, I-475, I-280, US-23, US-24, and SR-795. The project included the installation of all distribution cable and conduit, 70-foot concrete-spun poles, dynamic message signs, and the ITS devices including the CCTV cameras, vehicle detection units, and highway advisory radios.
