In 2014, J. Ranck Electric partnered with Inovateus Solar to construct solar arrays on the roof of three Duke Realty distribution warehouses totaling 10.1 MW of generating capacity. The systems, which connected directly to the Indianapolis Power and Light utility grid, consisted of a 3.3 MW system (Building 98), a 2.9 MW array (Building 87), and a 3.9 MW system (Building 129) at the Park 100 commercial building complex. JRE was contracted to install all electrical components including all wiring of the AC and DC applications, medium voltage interconnection, DC combiner boxes, and module interconnect wiring. Working under a compressed project timeline, JRE completed the array under the needed timeframe to meet the customer’s tax incentive criteria.
