In 2015, J. Ranck Electric partnered with Inovateus Solar to construct a solar array for the Indiana Michigan Power a unit of American Electric Power (AEP). The 3.09 MW ground-mount array is one of five solar generating facilities that the utility added to their Clean Energy Program for a combined generating capacity of 16 MW.
The Deer Creek array was built with a Solar FlexRack Racking system and topped with 9,828 solar panels. JRE was contracted to install all electrical components including wiring of the AC and DC applications, medium voltage interconnection, DC combiner boxes, module interconnect wiring, and 11 Nextronix 232 kilowatt inverters.
