Air Traffic Control Fiber Optic Transmission

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport – Sarasota, Florida

In 2017, J. Ranck Electric installed an Air Traffic Control Tower Fiber Optic Transmission System for the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.

The project linked a new Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) to the airfield electrical vault, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) station, ASR (Airport Surveillance Radar) facility, and instrument landing systems; glide slope, localizer, and MALSR (Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway Alignment Indicator Lights) for Runway 14-32. This project also included a new fiber optic transmission system that linked the Aircom panel in the airport electrical vault to the airport terminal building.
