The Safety Director Recognition Award is presented to the J. Ranck Electric employee who is most deserving for his outstanding commitment to safety along with an emphasis on his notable accomplishments throughout the year.

This year, the distinguished recognition and award is presented to Duncan Wooster.

Duncan Wooster is being recognized for his total commitment to the safety efforts of J. Ranck Electric.  He has effectively managed projects that have presented him with safety obstacles and hazardous conditions, with which he handled in perfect stride, with amazing confidence and precision.  His safety accomplishments are unique and highly valued by J. Ranck Electric and its customers.  Duncan is also being recognized for his proactive position on safety, whereby he makes safety a part of his overall project and work process.  His personal commitment to safety fosters inspiration, professional integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

Duncan has encountered and successfully addressed safety situations at projects such as LSI (Life Sciences Institute at University of Michigan), Genesee Wastewater Treatment Plant, and Atherton Schools.  Additionally, Duncan has worked accident and injury-free since the year 2000 and demonstrates by example a sincere commitment to the J. Ranck Electric Safety Program.

In addition to his electrical and safety expertise, his willingness to help others is the essence of Duncan Wooster.  His upbeat personality, positive attitude, and honest demeanor make working for and with Duncan a pleasure.  According to one JRE Project Manager, "It's hard not to like Duncan.  He is just a good guy." 

It is with great pleasure that J. Ranck Electric honors Duncan Wooster with the 2005 Safety Director Recognition Award.
