Above & Beyond - Field Recipient

The 2003 recipient of the Above and Beyond Award is a man who is characterized by an attitude.  He is a man whose performance is steadfast and reliable and whose workplace qualities exemplify him as a master of his trade.  Mike Feher is one such guy with the right kind of attitude.  In performing for J. Ranck Electric, he demonstrates time and time again that he is adaptable to any customer need and any project challenge.

In many ways, one could describe Mike as the "J. Ranck Electric Service Center."  He is the first we call on when an extra hand is needed or a tough job exists.  He simultaneously handles multiple projects as a matter of routine.  He is the one to take a Saturday service call and the one that the customer most often requests.  His approach is always cooperative and his performance is always reliable.  Innovation, versatility, integrity, service, and reputation are the qualities that measure Mike's accomplishments and value to the company.

In another way, Mike has been described as a legend in Flint.  He is greatly respected among many of our Flint customers including U of M Flint, GM Truck & Bus, and Genesee County.  It is not unusual for him to walk through the door to greetings of "Mikey", "Feher is here", and "Come over here and figure this out."

Mike looks beyond himself to serve the customer and the company.  Mike contributes to the task with logic and careful judgment, repeatedly saving the company revenue, always fulfilling the customers' needs, and infinitely representing the company with superior performance and standards.

Because he does all of this and more, we acknowledge Mike Feher as the recipient of the Above and Beyond Award for 2003.
